High porosity hair refers to the high amount of gaps within the cuticle. The more gaps there are, the higher the porosity. 

Because of these gaps, high porosity hair is more susceptible to weather changes. 

In dry weather, high porosity hair will lose moisture through the gaps. So in dry climates, high porosity hair needs to be sealed to prevent drying out. 

This curl cream was intentionally formulated for high porosity hair in humid climates to provide hold, definition as well as reduce and prevent frizz.

The humid line is also a great option for those who live in areas with salty air, as it will provide added protection from sea spray and salty air that can dry your hair out.

Organic tremella mushroom extract has the ability to hold moisture, it forms a light film over hair strands, locking in moisture thus helping to maintain the integrity of the hair. It is also a natural alternative to hyaluronic acid and silicones, leaving hair silky and shiny. 

Organic artichoke extract preserves the cohesion of cuticle scales. As a result, hair's protective outer shield is maintained, blocking the entry of damaging elements. Therefore, the internal matter will be less attacked by harmful factors. Artichoke leaf extract helps promote more resilient, shiny, frizz-free and disciplined hair.

Organic, unrefined kokum butter softens and seals the hair strands, while also promoting growth. It has been shown to rejuvenate damaged hair and prevent hair loss. It is excellent for high-porosity-hair as it will seal the cuticle and prevent frizz. It softens the hair, and helps promote elasticity.

Organic, unrefined argan oil is a light oil with high amounts of Vitamin E. It is a great and nourishing carrier oil frequently used in hair care. Its high level of phenols and phenolic acid, carotenes, squalene, essential fatty acids, and 80% unsaturated fatty acids make it great for brittle, dry hair. Researchers have found that argan oil's hydrophobic properties helped to restore the hair cuticle and prevent breakage and overall protein loss.

Castor oil is healing and fortifying making it one of the best oils for high porosity hair. This oil is not only great for sealing strands, it has some benefits for your scalp. Castor is one of the best oils for high porosity hair (especially in dry or humid weather) because it acts as a sealant that creates a thick coating on the hair strands to keep moisture in and frizz out.
