Low porosity hair refers to the small amount of gaps within the cuticle. The fewer gaps there are, the lower the porosity. 

Because it isn’t very porous, low porosity hair is typically considered healthy, so long as you are able to properly hydrate it. Getting hydration through the cuticle in low-porosity hair can be challenging; adding heavy ingredients makes it even more challenging. So the main focus for those with low porosity hair is getting moisture IN, once it’s in, it isn’t easily lost. 

That said, you don’t want to avoid natural oils, and butters altogether, you just want to use the right ones. 

This curl cream was intentionally formulated for low porosity hair in humid climates to soften and seal the hair strands, protecting them from humidity frizz. 

The humid line is also a great option for those who live in areas with salty air, as it will provide added protection from sea spray and salty air that can dry your hair out.

Organic flaxseed extract helps curls to clump and provides definition. It is rich with nutrients that our hair thrives with. It contains omega fatty acids, vitamin B, and vitamin E, which plays a protective role against free radical damage, promoting a healthy scalp and follicles to maximize hair growth. Because flaxseed is good at binding moisture to the hair, this reduces breakage and split ends. Not only does this improve elasticity but it also prevents it from breaking further. 

Organic artichoke Extract preserves the cohesion of cuticle scales. As a result, hair's protective outer shield is maintained, blocking the entry of damaging elements. Therefore, the internal matter will be less attacked by harmful factors. Artichoke Leaf Extract helps promote more resilient, shiny, frizz-free and disciplined hair.

Organic, unrefined babassu oil can deeply penetrate into the hair shaft consequently locking in moisture. It is rich in antioxidants and fatty acids that make it great for your skin and hair. It's also anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. Babassu oil is rich in antioxidants, which are compounds that can help reduce cellular damage caused by harmful free radicals. It is loaded with lauric acid, and a blend of stearic acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid and oleic acids.These help to keep your hair youthful.

Organic, unrefined grapeseed oil is ultra-light and an excellent natural heat protectant. It is ideal for low porosity hair because it easily penetrates the hair.  Grapeseed Oil contains Vitamin E, an antioxidant, and linoleic acid, a fatty acid which promotes hair health. Treating brittle hair with Grapeseed Oil will help to restore its strength and shine.
