High porosity hair refers to the high amount of gaps within the cuticle. The more gaps there are, the higher the porosity. 

Because of these gaps, high porosity hair is more susceptible to weather. 

In dry weather, high porosity hair will lose moisture through the gaps. So in dry weather, high porosity hair needs to be sealed to prevent drying out. 

This leave-in conditioner was intentionally formulated for high porosity hair in dry climates to soften and seal the hair strands, protecting them in harsh climates. 

For dry climates, or areas with average dew points of 0-35F

Organic shiitake mushroom extract naturally strengthens and provides elasticity. They mushrooms are a good source of vitamin D, antioxidants, selenium and copper, all of which are essential for healthy hair.

Organic tremella mushroom extract has the ability to hold moisture, it forms a light film over hair strands, locking in moisture thus helping to maintain the integrity of the hair. It is also a natural alternative to hyaluronic acid and silicones, leaving hair silky and shiny. 

Organic marshmallow root contains a mucilage that helps nourish, detangle and condition your hair. It promotes shine, bounce, and enhances curl pattern. It is great for dull, frizzy, and dry hair.

Organic bamboo extract is the richest known source of silica; it contains over 70% silica. Silica strengthens the hair and prevents thinning by delivering essential nutrients to your hair follicles. In addition to silica, it also contains biotin for hair growth and healthy collagen production. Biotin stimulates keratin production, resulting in stronger hair and faster growth.

Organic, unrefined muru muru butter is a Brazilian butter that will help to define curls, provide elasticity, and soften. It is high in fatty acids that will actually penetrate the hair shaft, resulting in softer, more moisturized hair. This butter boasts Vitamins A and E which makes it excellent at helping to prevent breakage, as well as  increasing shine and reducing frizz.

Organic, unrefined argan oil is a light oil with high amounts of Vitamin E. It is a great and nourishing carrier oil frequently used in hair care. Its high level of phenols and phenolic acid, carotenes, squalene, essential fatty acids, and 80% unsaturated fatty acids make it great for fulle, dry hair. Researchers have found that argan oil's hydrophobic properties helped to restore the hair cuticle and prevent breakage and overall protein loss.

Organic, unrefined hemp seed oil has a high fatty acid content that makes it great for high porosity hair. Hemp seed oil adds sheen, elasticity, and moisture retention to your hair. It can also serve to strengthen hair since it has fatty acids that help with keratin bonding.

Organic, unrefined jojoba oil is great for high porosity hair since it is slightly waxy, but not too waxy. It will help seal in moisture without a residue. Praised and loved for being the closest oil to human sebum, this is a natural conditioner for hair. 

Organic, unrefined castor oil is the ultimate sealing oil. High Porosity hair benefit greatly from castor oil because it is excellent at sealing the many gaps in the strands. Castor has a nutritional makeup composed of a powerful mix of proteins, vitamins, fatty acids, and antioxidants.

Panthenol is a readily available source of provitamin B-5. Provitamin B-5 binds the hair follicles and coats to seal in moisture. This is great for preventing dry hair and scalp due to heat styling. It builds a very thin layer of moisture along the surface of the hair to add shine, softness and pliability without added oils or greasiness. It is touted as a "volumizer" because it has been shown to lift the hair and add fullness.

Propanediol is a natural, green, propylene glycol alternative derived from corn sugar. It helps to improve moisturization in the scalp and hair, which further helps to reduce frizz and soften the hair.
